plaster
古英語の plaster は、治療用の物質を塗った包帯を意味し、中世ラテン語の plastrum（ラテン語 emplastrum の短縮形、ギリシャ語の emplastron『塗り薬、軟膏』に由来）から来ています。その後、古フランス語の名詞 plastre によって補強されました。意味の1つは中世後期の英語にさかのぼります。
